Google chrome was launched back in 2008 and has been a huge growth on the PC. Chrome’s best selling point is its high speed and minimalistic look. This week Google has introduced Chrome for Android Beta, bringing the high speed performance to Google’s ever more successful mobile phone platform.
Chrome for Android Beta aimed to bring speed and simplicity to mobile phones which also allows you to seamlessly sync your phone so you can take your web browsing experience with you wherever you go.
The Wall Street journal is now claiming that Google are nearing the launch of their new cloud based storage service “Drive”. It is expected to launch in the coming weeks or months. The service is expected to provide free entry-level cloud storage for the casual users and businesses, with those wanting to store a large amount of files have to pay a fee. Drive is however expected to undercut cloud-storage provider companies such as Dropbox by bringing to market a highly competitive offering that sits on its own data network infrastructure.

Google has been working on their education products over the past few weeks including the recent project “Good to Know”. It is a site which is dedicated to web safety providing tips and advice for staying more secure on the web and by using child-like graphics Google has put spotlight over online privacy.
Twitter has started rolling out enhanced pages for users to showcase their best content on their profile. These pages intended to provide an engaging experience for users to interact with those pages. These pages will feature tweets which might include photo or a video that will be promoted and auto expanded to fit the page.
These enhanced pages are similar to Facebook Timeline and currently, they are only available to a small selection of brands and partners.
Google are preparing to re-launch their OnePass publishing service to challenge Apple’s E-books. It had a relatively slow start among publishers but they are now preparing to launch an improve service which will be available in few weeks time.

The advertising standards assoiciation (ASA) have received complaints about Snickers twitter campaign. Katie Price and Rio Ferdinand have been tweeting some strange messages on twitter and then revealed it was to do with a snickers twitter campaign by doing a follow up tweet “You’re not you when you’re hungry @snickersUK #hungry #spon”. Celebrity endorsement is becoming a really powerful medium if done correctly by rights it should be flagged with Advert or Spon clearly showing this is advertising or a Celebrity endorsement. The final message in the series of market tweets was followed up with #spon but the strange teaser tweets before hand where not.

This week we have seen a lot of social shares of this past BMW advertising campaign. The campaign was apparently ran by a small BMW dealer in response to Audi’s national advertising campaign back in 2009. The advertising campaign shows BMW Santa Monca dealership response to Audi’s “Your move, BMW.” with a white BMW M3 Saying “checkmate!”. This is the type of advertising campaings we like to here about, it shows that the advertising agency has give some creative thought, got the sizing and placement spot on!
Facebook recently introduced new timeline apps which you can now have from Ticketmaster, Rotten Tomatoes, Gogobot, TripAdvisor etc. By adding those you can enhance your timeline with apps that will allow you tell your story.
If for example you love cooking, you can add Foodily app to your timeline and share your latest dishes. If your friends have also added the app, you can share new recipes with each other.

Facebook have now introduced music services which you can now listen with your friends. This feature allows to you listen along with any of your friends who are currently listening to music. You can also do this together in a group while one of your friends plays DJ.
The way you do this is by looking at the music note in the chat sidebar which indicates which of your friends are listening to music. To listen with a friend, you simply hover over their name and click the Listen With button.
